July 27 2018 - Crimson Vista, a Baltimore-based computer security consulting firm, announced today that the company’s founder and chief scientist, Seth James Nielson, will be speaking at the Workshop on Defensive Deception and Trust in Autonomy being held on August 13-14 in San Diego, CA. Dr. Nielson will be closing out the workshop with a presentation entitled, “Detecting Malicious Sandboxes: Can Software Know What’s Real?”

This workshop is organized by technical staff at SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific in association with the 2018 Naval Applications of Machine Learning Workshop, Researchers from diverse backgrounds will join together in an exploration of the use of deception to protect safety and privacy and how to simultaneously protect autonomous systems from being deceived.
